A man has admitted to assaulting a woman by dragging her by the hair before damaging her car.

Christopher Davies, 38, of Bulstrode Avenue, Dereham, admitted two counts of assault by beating and one count of criminal damage when he appeared before King’s Lynn magistrates on Wednesday, February 14.

The court heard how in May last year, Davies had assaulted a woman by dragging her by the hair before kicking and punching her.

He subsequently punched the bonnet of her car, causing around £400 worth of damage.

He assaulted the woman again in July 2017 during an argument.

Chairman of the bench Meher Vanner adjourned the case for sentencing until Friday, March 16.

Davies was released on bail under the condition that he does not contact the victim and does not enter Downham Market except with a police officer.
