Police have charged a 28-year-old man over a collision near King’s Lynn yesterday, in which a man in his 50s was injured.

It happened at around 10am on the B1145, between the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Great Massingham, and involved a van and a pedal cyclist.

James McGuire, care of Lode Way, Chatteris, in Cambridgeshire, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving a vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance, failing to stop when required by a constable and aggravated vehicle taking.

McGuire was remanded in police custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court this morning.

The cyclist, aged in his 50s, suffered serious arm injuries and remains in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
