British Transport Police (BTP) arrested a man at Diss railway station yesterday after he was reported for theft.

Police said they received a call at 4.20pm yesterday (March 29)about a man on a Norwich to London Liverpool Street train being verbally abusive to passengers.

He was also believed to have stolen a mobile phone and laptop, police said.

BTP officers arrested the man at Diss station and he is currently in custody.

The drama resulted in the Greater Anglia service being delayed.
