BREAKING NEWS: Police investigate death of woman in West Norfolk village

Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a garden pond today.

Emergency services were called to Gayton, near King’s Lynn, this afternoon.

Tonight a spokesman said: “Officers were called to a property in Cedar Way, at around 3:45pm today, Tuesday 18 June, following reports that the body of a woman had been discovered in a garden pond.

“Investigations continue, however, initial enquiries suggest that the death is not suspicious.

“No further information relating to the deceased will be released until formal identification has taken place and next of kin have been informed.

“Her Majesty’s Coroner will be notified in due course.”
