Householders in north Norfolk are urged to be vigilant after police received a number of reports of cold callers across the district in the last few days.
Information has been received regarding a man attending at properties with a holdall-style bag offering gardening equipment, household and car cleaning items for sale in Wells, Cromer and North Walsham.
Officers spoke to a man on Fairview Road, North Walsham on Wednesday, April 19 who admitted selling door to door without a Pedlars' Certificate.
He was reported for the offence and the items he was attempting to sell were seized as evidence.
Norfolk police and trading standards advise never to deal with anyone who cold calls at your property offering to undertake services or attempting to sell items.
If in doubt, lock them out and report anything suspicious as soon as possible to police on 101. Anyone sighting cold callers can also call 03454 040506.
