A drink driver tried to blame the snow after being caught nearly four times over the limit following a crash.

Police were called to the collision in Attleborough late during the evening on Wednesday (February 28).

With the snow making it very difficult for anybody to drive, officers said the driver’s explanation was that the icy conditions as the reason behind what happened.

But the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing Unit Tweeted a photographed of a breathalyser reading from the driver, which showed 139mg per 100ml of breath.

The limit is 35mg per 100ml of breath.
