Officers say the incident happened at Terrington, near King’s Lynn, on Friday afternoon.

Traffic police helped local officers, who late tweeted: “Great teamwork from our officers and our roads policing unit.”

A spokesman later said: “Two males were arrested in relation to hare coursing in Terrington after being spotted by a member of the public who reported the incident to police.

“The two males have been interviewed and released under investigation pending further enquiries.”

Earlier, traffic officers were also on patrol on the A10 south of King’s Lynn, where an HGV driver soon ended up with a more expensive phone bill than he bargained for.

The trucker ended up with six points on his licence and a £200 fine after he was spotted using his mobile at the wheel.
