Four people have been arrested following trouble near the King’s Lynn’s Mart.

On Friday night, a disturbance believed to involve up to 30 people flared outside the Duke’s Head Hotel, on the Tuesday Market Place.

King’s Lynn Police tweeted: “In answer to Friday night’s disorder at the Mart, four males of varying ages have been arrested, several more can expect a door knock.”

One showman said there was “a short disturbance” involving two groups of local youths.

He added the scuffle took place in front of the Duke’s Head outside of the fairground. The market place is covered by CCTV cameras.

The annual Mart, which has been taking place for more than 800 years, opened on Valentine’s Day, with a range of rides and attractions in the Tuesday Market Place.
