More than 700 cannabis plants have been seized by police from an outbuilding near Swaffham.

It happened today (Tuesday) in Houghton Lane, North Pickenham, after information was passed to beat officers from Breckland Police.
They sent up a drone to try and spot a heat source before searching the premises and finding the plants.
Inspector Jon Papworth said the haul was large for the area and was a success for local policing.
He said: “I would want to reiterate we do take cannabis cultivation very seriously and it is a Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) priority at the moment. As ever, anyone with any information can contact us on 101 or through Crimestoppers anonymously.”

Two people were interviewed at the scene and the cultivation was dismantled.
Insp Papworth said the National Grid were also called to the scene to disconnect the electricity, which was being stolen from elsewhere.
