Firefighters were called to a blaze in a bedroom at an house in the village of Wortwell on Tuesday evening.
After getting the call at 10.30pm, crews from Harleston and Bungay extinguished the fire, at a property in High Road, using hose reels and wearing breathing apparatus.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and firefighters also gave trauma care to people at the scene.
Wortwell is between Harleston and Bungay on the River Waveney.
