A burger restaurant in Norwich which opened less than three months ago is to close later this month.

Craft Burger opened its second restaurant on Unthank Road in the city at the beginning of December but the branch will be closing its doors on Saturday February 24 after 'a short but successful time'.

A statement on the restaurant's Instagram page said: 'We have some really sad news here at Craft Burger Norwich! Due to circumstances out of our control we're having to close our Norwich site after such a short but successful time our last day will be Saturday 24th February.

'But fear not, we are already looking for another location in Norwich! So we're hoping we won't be away for long! We'd like to thank you all for your support so far!'

The company confirmed that its Cromer restaurant, on New Street in the town, will remain open as usual and it would update customers on any new Norwich site.

Craft Burger was established three years ago by businessman Andrew Hubbard, 26, who owns the business with his partner Chantelle.

The Norwich branch, which featured a slightly stripped-back version of the north Norfolk menu, had seating for 40 burger fans inside with room for a further 20 outside.

Craft Burger Norwich is the latest restaurant in Norwich to close since Christmas.
