As part of National Licensing Week (18-22 June), Breckland Council is showing local people why the work they do with licensees, operators and regulators in the area, is so vital.

The licensing team at Breckland Council work daily with many businesses and individuals across the district who need licensing support and appraisal.

The team ensure that everything from kennels to charity collections, bingo halls to betting shops and scrap metal dealers to street traders, are all meeting the standards that we expect from them.

Councillor Alison Webb, from Breckland Council, said: 'Our licensing officers work with existing and prospective businesses to ensure they are operating legally and keeping local people safe. As well as inspections, we offer a wide range of support services too. We can help with training on all levels of licensing, and assist people with application forms.'
