And now your snaps could feature in a photo book being presented to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to commemorate Great Britain's most famous family - the royals.

To mark the upcoming royal wedding of the happy couple, Photobox has teamed up with former BBC royal reporter Jennie Bond to create a unique photographic biography of the Windsors.

However the nationwide project will not feature professional shots but instead photos taken by members of the public at the 50,000 engagement the royals are estimated to have attended since the Second World War.

More than 300 of the best photographs, along with their accompanying anecdotes, will feature in The Crown From The Crowd - a new book published in May, with all proceeds donated to charity.

Entries can be submitted up until April 2 and the book will be presented to Harry and Meghan as a 'gift from the people'.

The best so far include a picture of Lady Diana and Prince Charles at Broadlands, Hampshire by Sandra Barrett, as well one of the Duchess of Cambridge at the Royal Academy in London by Leah McQueen

Another taken closer to home shows the Queen and Queen Mother at Sandringham Church, with Chris Cole saying: 'The picture was taken by my late father, John Cole, on August 4, 1980, when he and my mother were in Norfolk on holiday.

'It is special to our family because many people complimented my father on the photo and asked him for a copy. It captures how popular both the Queen and Queen Mother were with the general public.'

At Christmas, a Norfolk mum said she was amazed at how a picture of the Royals she snapped on her mobile phone sparked a media frenzy.

Karen Murdoch from Watlington, near King's Lynn, took a picture of Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and his fiancée Megan Markle, as they walked to the Christmas Day service at Sandringham Church.

Within hours, the image of the two smiling couples had attracted thousands of likes and retweets online.
