The hunt is on to find Norwich's most glamorous women for the race to become Miss Norwich and District 2015.

Organisers are looking to fill up the remaining spots to find someone to represent the city for the next year.

They will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Carina Tyrrell, 25, a Cambridge University medicine student whose father's family come from Norwich.

The final of Miss Norwich and District will be held at Norwich City Football Club on May 22, and will be hosted by Mr England and Michael Buble impersonator Jordan Williams.

Organiser Angie Beasley said: 'Some contestants have already been invited to take part in the Eco fashion show style event, but we are looking for more local ladies to join in with the competition.'

'Previous Miss England contestants have sourced their glamorous outfits from charity shops, handed down from their mums or made their own outfits from recycled materials, it is amazing how they can transform rubbish in to something special to wear and it gives the girls more to think about rather than just buying new clothes.

'We are giving the girls a brief to create an outfit with a race day theme so I'm looking forward to seeing their creations.'

Contestants will also be invited to raise funds for the Young People of the Year charity, which aims to reveal young unsung heroes, and help under privileged youngsters who want to do something with their life.

Tickets for the final also include a buffet and a chance to see live entertainment which will cost £30 and can be booked by calling the Miss England office on 01162 440479.

Entries are still being accepted to enter Miss Norwich and District 2015 and to enter you must live or work in the area. Those who are interested should send a picture with contact details and occupation to info@missengland.info.
