Like goat's cheese? Well, if you buy this attractive extended cottage near Attleborough, you can enjoy a year's free supply! And we are not kidding! CAROLINE CULOT, regional property editor, found herself indulging in cheese for breakfast when she visited Fielding Cottage, Little Ellingham, for sale for 399,950 with TW Gaze.

In my job as regional property editor, I am very lucky to be offered up the occasional home-made delight when visiting houses.

Everything from fresh eggs, jam and cherry tomatoes have been presented from kindly vendors – but, to be honest, just a cup of tea and a biscuit makes my day!

So I report a first this week when visiting an extended cottage in Little Ellingham….I was invited to partake of Norfolk mardling, not of the traditional variety but a rather delicious goat's cheese!

It's not every day you find yourself nibbling Norfolk Mardler cheese for a late breakfast – but that's exactly what happened when I met Sam and Caroline Steggles, vendors of Fielding Cottage, which is their family home now for sale with no onward chain.

Just let me say there are no goats in the garden, or anywhere near, and this is the reason for the Steggles wishing to sell.

They are the proud owners of the Fielding Cottage goat cheese small business – and because their products are really taking off, they need to move to Honingham and live on site where the cheese is actually made and where the goats – three varieties including Alpine, Toggenburg and Saanen – are kept.

Their current home has been extended and offers contemporary accommodation perfect for a growing family – the Steggles have two children, William, three-and-a-half and Polly, nearly one.

Inside takes you to the hub of the house, a large kitchen/breakfast room with cream Shaker-style units which leads into a dining room/playroom and a study – which was originally a goat shed and was called Goat Hall by the former owners!

What a coincidence is that?

Also downstairs is a sitting room, and upstairs are four bedrooms, a dressing room, a bathroom and an en-suite.

Outside are gardens, a detached double garage, a summer house and office.

And now let's get cheesy….

Whoever completes on the property – if they want – can enjoy a portion of the Fielding Cottage goat cheese every single week for a year – with the cheeses ranging from Ellingham (soft, fresh, feta type cheese which is crumbly), Norfolk Mardler (an eight-week matured, waxed cheese), and goat's curd (a smooth, creamy, spreadable goat's cheese).

You can also buy unpasteurised goat's milk (said to be 'velvet in a glass') as well as a new range in soap and hand and body lotions (recommended for those with eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin complaints.)

Products can be bought at Jarrold's or from farmer's markets, and there are a range of special experiences which would make ideal Christmas presents.
