A family-run Portuguese café which promises later opening hours and a place for 'the whole community to enjoy', has opened on a town's high street.
Contrast will be offering Portuguese cuisine styled tapas, tea, coffee and cakes, authentic alcohol and a place for the people of Watton "to relax on an evening".
Café manager, Tina Cruz, said it has always been her dream to open her own business and hopes she can offer something a bit different on the town's high street.
She said: "This place was empty for about seven or eight months, so I called and asked for information and that's where my journey started. I thought I am going to have it.
"It has been a dream of mine for a very long time, but I think there is a need in Watton as well.
"At 5pm it is a dead town and there is nowhere for anyone to six and relax on an evening."
Originally from Portugal, Ms Cruz, who is also a town councillor, has lived in Watton for the last 18-years but said she would like to bring some of her home country to Norfolk.
"I come from Portugal and after dinner at about 9pm we would go out with the kids to a café, have a coffee, enjoy a chat and go home again, so I want to bring some of that to Watton," she added.
"It's a place that will be open slightly later so you can even pop in and have a glass of wine."
Contrast will be open from 11am to 8pm on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays, and from 11am to 11pm on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
Ms Cruz will be running the café alongside her daughter, 19-year-old Ana Cruz, and also hopes she can encourage more young people around the town to come and visit.
She added: "I have been living in the town for 18 years and I noticed my daughter and son had nowhere to go and hang out.
"We have wifi so students can come and do work on their laptops or sit with their friends after school. I just want it to be a place the whole community can enjoy."
