Concern over missing Norfolk people

Concern is growing for the welfare of two people from Norfolk who have gone missing in the county over the weekend.

Officers from Mile Cross Police Station are trying to locate 14-year-old Gareth Adam Richards who was last seen by relatives in Appleyard Crescent, Mile Cross on Saturday night.

Mr Richards is believed to have slept rough in the Blazer Court area of Norwich overnight on Saturday. It is thought he may have stayed in the Norwich area or travelled to the Thornage/Holt or Melton Constable area of Norfolk. He could also have used buses or trains to leave the county.

He is white, 5ft 2ins tall and of slim build. He has short dark brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen Gareth was wearing bright blue shorts, grey hooded top and white trainers. He was wearing odd socks - one white and one black and carrying a white PE style bag with a long string cord.

Meanwhile, officers from Bethel Street Police Station are concerned about 20-year-old Jamie Edwards from Hellesdon who has not been seen since early on Sunday morning.

Mr Edwards went missing after attending the firework display at the Norfolk Showground on Saturday evening. He was then believed to have been seen at 10am on Sunday in the Yarmouth Road/Pound Lane area of Thorpe St Andrew.

He is white, 6ft 1ins tall and of slim build. He has curly black cropped hair and is thought to have been wearing a black jacket and black jeans when he disappeared.
