A community shop has shown it can rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in retail after winning the Rural Cooperative Award.
Rocklands Community Shop, in Rockland All Saints, near Attleborough, picked up the award after wowing judges with the work it does to create a care network that looks after the community, and providing additional maths classes as well as other sessions needed in the community.
The judges for the Plunkett Foundation Rural Community Cooperative Awards said that the store is 'rock-solid' in the community.
Treasurer of the store, Victoria McArthur said: 'It was lovely to feel part of the community at the awards. When a shop is run by volunteers it can feel like you're on your own but to go to the show with other stores it was inspiring.'
The awards, now in its fifth year, were hosted by journalist and presenter, Helen Fospero.
