An exhibition of quilts depicting different parables visited Beccles for people to look at and enjoy.
Made by members of Sew Spiritual, a small group of Christians who enjoy exploring and sharing their faith through the medium of textiles, 11 quilts created by 10 women were displayed around Hungate Church.
'It's our way of outreach and to talk about our feelings and faith,' said Jackie Smith, one of the members of the group. 'They help express what we believe and are also for people's enjoyment. It is also a way to introduce people to faith.'
The colourful quilts have taken the women a year to work on and parables depicted include the Parables of the Talents, Wedding Feast and the Good Samaritan.
The members, who met at a quilting course run by Ms Smith at Norwich Cathedral in 2011, are now working on next year's theme - women of the bible.
'We think of a theme and break it down and put those in a hat and choose at random,' said Ms Smith. 'Then we have to think about designs, the fabric, dyeing the fabric and then constructing it. All in all it's a year project.'
Sew Spiritual will also be involved in the commemorative events to mark the 100th anniversary of Edith Cavell's execution.
A series of quilts depicting her spiritual journey will be displayed at St Stephen's Church in Norwich from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 18.
The exhibition will be making its way to Christchurch, Great Yarmouth from July 31 to August July 3; St Mary's Church, Attleborough from August 4 to 9 and Heacham Methodist Church from September 4 to 6.
