A former East Norfolk Sixth Form student, Connor Mullally, is enjoying increasing popularity and success and gaining national attention for his music.

His latest track, Overdose, is proving incredibly popular and a previous track Where Did The Love Go, was recently featured on ITV's This Morning programme.

Connor said: 'My style is basically a big mash up. I love soul, I can't get enough Marvin Gaye or Sam Cooke, but my music is a bit more modern. I sing old school but the music is quite edgy and new. Paolo Nutini and Amy Winehouse are massive influences for me, as they are for so many people.'

Connor has also been recording at Genesis star Mike Rutherford's studios and it's been a fantastic opportunity.

'So basically I've been working with the producers that currently inhabit his studio, as Luke Juby, a writer/musician friend, plays in Mike's band. It's an amazing studio, I still can't believe how lucky I am to have worked in it.'

Connor studied music technology, sociology and English language at East Norfolk and enjoyed his time at the college.

'It's a fantastic place. The tutors are really welcoming and I'm still friends with a lot of people I met there.'

After college, Connor spent a year at Access to Music studying artist development.

And the next few months will be very busy as he explained: 'I'm going to start releasing plenty of music and I want to create a full spectrum of what I can do and hopefully some people will enjoy it. I just want to stay motivated and fuelled, because these next few months are going to be hard work.'

As for the future, Connor has big ambitions.

'I've always dreamt of playing Glastonbury, on the pyramid stage with the crowd singing my own lyrics back to me. It's a big dream I know, but that's the point I guess...'
