Eminent photographer Colin Westgate has shown some of his landscape images to members of the North Norfolk Photographic Society.

Mr Westgate, who lives on Mersea Island in Essex, paid a visit to the Holt-based group on March 21.

A club spokesman said of the photographer, who have been making landscapes since 1959: 'Although he works in both monochrome and colour, the majority of those he showed were moody monochrome pictures with emphasis on dramatic skies and unusual foregrounds. Colin is enthusiastic to 'work' on his images to enhance the highlights and the shadows for maximum effect.'

Mr Westgate is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a master of the International Federation of Photographic Art and was elected a member of the London Salon in 1990.
