A classic vehicles show and vintage fair will be held to raise money for vital repairs at a 1,000-year-old Norfolk church.

The Friends of All Saints Church, Gresham, is hosting the event on the village park and in the village hall.

Strawberry teas will be served on the park, and there will be second-hand books, a raffle and bric-a-brac stalls.

About £100,000 is needed for urgent repairs to the round-towered All Saints Church in the north Norfolk village. These include urgent roof and tile repairs, a new rainwater disposal system, floor and wall repairs and the re-leading and repair of windows.

Julia Drury, Friends' chairman, said: 'If the church is to be preserved for future generations of villagers and visitors, it needs a lot of work to be done soon.'

The village hall will be open from 11am on Saturday, June 23 with the classic vehicle show starting at 12.30pm.
