Legendary Kinks front man Ray Davies was so impressed by a Norwich singer-songwriter that he invited her to his world-famous studio to record a song.
Charlotte Eve, 39, was on a song writing residential course in Devon when Davies, who penned the likes of Waterloo Sunset and Sunny Afternoon, spotted her vocal talents.
Norwich-born Charlotte recorded at Davies' Konk studios in London, where the likes of Robbie Williams and Adele have laid down tracks.
She said: 'It was just amazing to record there, the studio Ray has is incredible.
'I used the same microphone that Adele had, it gave my vocals the most wonderful sound'.
As a child, Charlotte's family moved to Somerset but she returned to Norfolk to live in the Golden Triangle area of Norwich and study at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
After graduating she spent a further 17 years in the county.
Although now in Dorset, she remembers her time in Norfolk fondly and still considers it her home.
'The song which I recorded at Konk studios, One Love, I actually wrote in Norfolk.
'I was living at Filby Broad near Caister at the time.
'I really miss the sense of space up there.
'The sea and sky really influences my creativity.'
Charlotte worked at what was Radio Broadland (now Heart) for several years as a writer and later went on to work in advertising in the city.
Passionate about sustainable living, she now helps people to build their own affordable and ecological homes out of earth and even stood for the Green Party in Great Yarmouth during the 2015 elections.
A classically-trained pianist, Charlotte has tasted music success before, with one of her tracks even featuring in the BBC Bafta winning drama In the Flesh.
Likened to Joni Mitchell and Florence and the Machine in her sound Charlotte said she would love to perform in Norfolk again soon.
'I have lots of fans, friends and family still in the area so I would love to come back to Norwich to do a gig later this year,' she added.
Charlotte's single, One Love, is released on Monday, June 11.
