Staff, service users and their families made sure they had 'Time for a Cuppa' for charity at a Norwich dementia unit.

The event ran by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) was held in aid of Dementia UK at the Julian Hospital yesterday.

Cathy Arbuthnot-Jones, community mental health nurse, said: 'It went very well. There was a steady stream of people, including family and friends of staff and people coming in for appointments at the Memory Clinic.

'I'm very pleased and grateful for all the cakes and the generous donations.'

Visitors enjoyed tea, cake and a chat. So far £200 has been raised from the event. The money will help Dementia UK to help families face dementia through its specialist Admiral Nurses.

The aim of the event was not just about raising money, but also giving carers the opportunity to find out more about the support available to them through the Admiral Nurses.
