It is a special part of Norfolk which was much loved by a popular dance teacher who died of a brain tumour.
That’s why the husband, two sons and more than 20 other friends and relatives of Corrine Smith née Ferraby decided to cycle 111 miles to Wells-next-the-Sea to raise money for the charity Brain Tumour Research.
Mrs Smith, from Leicester, had been visiting Wells since she was a child, but died earlier this year aged 61, leaving behind husband Kelvin Smith and sons James and Sam Ferraby, 32 and 26.
The group, cycling from Quorn, Loughborough, raised £4,600 for the charity.
James said after arriving at Wells: “Mum was an exceptionally talented dancer and a force for good, who made a huge impact on the lives of her colleagues and the pupils she worked with. Mum maintained her positive spirit throughout her illness – her laughter was infectious. We miss her terribly.”
