Changes have been made to roadwork timings on Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile.
Roadworks had been put in place during the second week of the two week Easter break, which sparked fear amongst local traders that they would lose out on business.
However after calls from Norfolk County Council's Economic Development Sub-Committee, various elements of the essential repair work which were to take place during the day will now take place overnight, from 7pm to 11pm, in the week commencing April 4.
Marine Parade will remain open throughout the daytimes with the only restriction being a reduction to one lane of traffic from the usual two in the one way section.
The rescheduled pre-surfacing work is set to start on April 4 and weather permitting should take 2-3 days to complete
Further works will follow on the road, and a statement by Norfolk County Council said there intention is to have everything finished ahead of the first May bank holiday.
