The Under 1 Roof Training and Development Centre - run by Norwich-based homeless charity St Martin's Housing Trust - is presenting the Fair Weather Project on September 1 at Norwich Arts Centre.

It will feature performances by the Under 1 Roof band - The Undies - as well as a number of other local acts including 3 1/2 Inch Floppy, Phillip Steven Rowe and Matt Watson.

And the organisers are now looking for an extra music act to join the line-up because headline band Ducking Punches has been forced to pull out at the last minute due to lead singer Dan Allen breaking his leg.

Fiona Joyce, learning and programme development manager at Under 1 Roof, said: 'Our members have worked really hard all year to make this event happen and we would love to have the support of another act that could bring more people to raise money for a worthy cause and support our members to perform on stage.'

She added: 'It's the very first time on stage for some of our members, so it's about more than just fundraising - when you've been rehearsing for months and built up the confidence to do it, from a place of low self esteem, you really want an audience!'

She also thanked Ducking Punches and all the other local acts for offering their support and wished Mr Allen a speedy recovery.

The Fair Weather Project is all about exhibiting the talent of the members of Under-1-Roof Training and Development Centre. Money raised from the gig will go towards the running of the centre which helps adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Music acts interested in taking part should call Fiona Joyce on 01603 699150 by 5pm on Friday or email fiona.joyce@stmartinshousing.org.uk
