Suffolk cellist Yalda Davis will be giving a recital at St Mary's Church in Bungay, next Sunday, August 12 – one of 439 recitals she is planning throughout the county.
The project will comprise a recital at every medieval church in Suffolk, to raise funds for the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, and other charities. It is a tall order but Yalda, who lives near Ipswich, is determined to do it
Her recital at St Mary's will be at noon, and will last between 60 and 90 minutes. Admission is free, but donations can be made on the day, with a significant donation also going to the Churches Conservation Trust, which cares for St Mary's.
Light refreshments will be available. Donations can also be made via the Jutgiving site at www.justgiving.com/teams/YaldaDavis
The concert is being organised by the Friends of St Mary's Church, which organises regular fundraising events there to help pay for the church's upkeep.
