A couple have said they were 'thrilled' to receive a national award recognising the 'quirkiness' of their bed and breakfast in rural Suffolk.

Camomile Cottage, a 16th Century farmhouse on the outskirts of the town of Eye, was awarded 'quirkiest character' in this year's Dorset Cereals B&B Awards.

Aly Kahane, who runs the bed and breakfast with her husband Tim, said: 'We were thrilled with the award, especially as there was such stiff competition.'

As part of the awards process Writers Carole King and Arianna Trapani from interiors blog Heart Home secretly visited and judged the three shortlisted bed and breakfasts in the 'quirkiest character' category of the national Dorset Cereals B&B Awards.
