A Gorleston group are organising a unity walk to celebrate 200 years since the birth of Baha'u'llah.
The Baha'i group are hosting the walk on behalf of the founder of the Baha'i faith on Sunday, October 22 at 2.30pm.
This event is one of thousands that will be taking place all over the weekend worldwide, which involves Baha'is, their families, friends and communities.
The walk will start from the boating pond on the lower esplanade by Gorleston beach and follow a route along the promenade to the end. It will then turn inland to return along the old railway path before ending at the Cliff Hotel around 3.45pm. Refreshments will be served and a brief presentation on the life and teachings of Baha'u llah will be given.
Bridget Macdonald, secretary of the Gorleston Baha'i group said: 'The aim is to encourage people to forget their differences and celebrate being part of one human family for a few hours one afternoon.'
