Cash stolen from elderly man at supermarket car park in Diss

An elderly man had cash stolen from him after being called over to a car in the car park at Tesco in Diss.

At about 1pm on Friday, October 7, the victim was called to a parked silver Vauxhall Astra by a man who tried to sell him some jackets.

The suspect asked how much money the man had on him before stealing his cash and pushing the jackets at the him.

The suspect then fled the scene.

He is described as being 6ft tall, of an average build and as having thinning short hair which was greying.

He spoke with an Italian accent and was wearing a grey suit and tie.

Anyone with information is asked to call PC Jamie Burgess at Diss Police Station on 101.
