People are invited to a heart disease awareness day in Norwich next weekend.
The charity Cardiomyopathy UK is encouraging people to visit the Forum on April 14 to meet expert speakers and share their own experiences.
Cardiomyopathy is a heart muscle disease and a main cause of sudden cardiac death. It affects more than 160,000 in the UK.
Dr Sunil Nair, consultant cardiologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, will be running sessions and providing treatment advice on the day.
The charity said one in three people are initially misdiagnosed with early warning signs of the disease such as breathlessness, palpitations, and dizziness.
Clive Owen, 50, from Cringleford, said: 'I was quite young when I was diagnosed so it's important to me that there is more awareness and information about cardiomyopathy as it can affect people of all ages.'
Entry to the event is £5.
