A car was stolen last night from outside a Hemsby home after keys were stolen through an unlocked window.

The burglary took place at a home in Yarmouth Road and it is believed the suspect/s entered the address via an insecure window.

Cash was taken, along with the car keys which were used to steal a white Audio TT (registration AV10 GBE) from outside the house.

Officers were called at 7am this morning (July 20) after the car was stolen overnight.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said: 'Officers are keen to remind residents that whilst the weather is very warm at this time it is important to secure doors and windows overnight or when you are away from your property.'
