Police stopped a speeding car and discovered it had no insurance and defective tyres while transporting disabled passengers.

The vehicle was stopped on the A47, in North Burlingham, at around 3pm on Wednesday, May 11.

It was travelling at 68mph on a road with a 50mph limit.

A police spokesperson said that upon inspection officers discovered that the tyres were not road worthy and the dark coloured car was not insured.

They added that the officer 'dealt with the driver, ensured safe passage of occupants and seized the vehicle.'
