A canine king and queen were crowned as a carnival got under way.
Crowd's packed into Hunstanton for day one of the resort's annual celebrations.
And the dog show ring was packed for the first of the weekend's events.
Great Dane Dylan, aged four, was crowned carnival king. Owner Steve Knowles, from Holme, said he was a big fan of the breed.
'I've had them for 20 years now and they really good dogs,' he said. 'They're really calm, really gentle, really nice.'
Pug Peg, aged two, was crowned the queen. Owner Stephanie Cole, from Thetford, whose 11-yearold niece Caitlin Brame escorted Peg in the ring, said the family was enjoying the weekend.
'It's brilliant,' she said. 'We come here on holiday because it's dog-friendly, they love the beach.'
The dog show was a organised by the Barking Bugle, which runs a website and dog-friendly holiday guide. Amanda Knowles, whose spaniel Frodo edits both publications, said it was a popular part of the weekend.
'A lot of people come on holiday to Norfolk with their dogs,' she said. 'People don't put their dogs in kennels any more, they take them with them.'
Hunstanton mayor Amanda Bosworth, who presented winners' rosettes, was pleased with the turnout.
'It's excellent, lots of people, lots of dogs,' she said. 'There are lots of people along the prom, it's good for the town.'
The Green was full of stalls ranging from crepes to ethnic jewellery. Tonight there will be live bands performing.
Tomorrow sees the carnival parade through town, which leaves the recreation ground at 1pm and finishes on the Green.
