An ex-racing greyhound and an affectionate and playful crossbreed are among two canines at Dogs Trust's Snetterton Rehoming Centre looking for a permanent home.
Affectionate and playful Bonnie, a four-year-old crossbreed, loves using agility equipment.
Between games of frisbee and football, Bonnie enjoys travelling in the car and lovely rural walks, followed by sofa snuggles.
Bonnie is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where she can have plenty of space to play. She will need to be the only pet and is best suited to a calm environment.
Bonnie needs her adopters to be around for most of the time while she settles in.
Meanwhile Katelyn is a striking, two-year-old ex-racing Greyhound who is dreaming of sprinting off to a forever home.
Although she has been racing for most of her life, she is also a couch potato and loves sofa snuggles after a good walk.
Katelyn's other passion in life is food and she responds well to positive reward-based training.
Playful and fun to be around, Katelyn loves people and would be happy to live with children aged 11 years or older.
She will need her adopters to be around for most of the time.
The appeals come as Dogs Trust launches a new television advert, voiced by actor Martin Clunes, to raise awareness of the plight of the thousands of unwanted dogs in the UK.
Despite being hailed as a nation of animal lovers, the charity has revealed that it receives a call every 15 minutes from a member of the public looking to give up their dog.
Diane McLelland-Taylor, Dogs Trust Snetterton Rehoming Centre manager, explained: 'Dogs are now available via the internet at the click of a button so often people buy them online on a whim, just as they would a pair of shoes, and give little consideration to the lifetime commitment involved in dog ownership.
'We hope our advert will not only raise awareness of the number of dogs looking for homes but will encourage people to consider rehoming one of the thousands of fantastic rescue dogs in our care.'
