Friends and family of the Caister couple found dead in their home could have to wait up to eight weeks for answers.
The bodies of Barry and Jean Ellis were discovered at their detached bungalow in Upper Grange Crescent, on Tuesday lunchtime.
The alarm was raised by window cleaner Roy Holland who noticed several pints of milk on their doorstep.
Initial findings suggested Mrs Ellis, who was in her 60s, may have died from natural causes.
It is not yet known how Mr Ellis, who was in his 70s, died.
Yesterday, the Norfolk coroners office said it could take 'up to eight weeks' for further toxicology tests on Mr Ellis to be carried out and completed.
The deaths - which are not being treated by as suspicious - sent shock waves through the quiet village of Caister, near Great Yarmouth.
The Ellis' previously ran a stall at Yarmouth Market for more than 30 years, selling men and women's clothing. Fellow stall holders described Mrs Ellis as 'bubbly' and Mr Ellis as 'eccentric'.
Neighbours, who described the couple as 'lovely', said the pair were never seen apart.
