Police had a busy Friday last night, but not the manic evening many emergency services expected.
Norfolk police's Inspector Rebecca Cant tweeted to say there were four crime related and 10 drink and anti social behaviour related arrests on Prince Of Wales Road but added 'no Black Friday for us'.
'Boozy' black Friday saw many emergency services across the country on red alert as drink sales hit their annual peak on the biggest office party night of the year.
The Friday before Christmas last year saw alcohol takings rise in pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels by 142pc UK-wide, with still more sales from shops and supermarkets.
Sales were forecast to be 30pc higher yesterday than they are on New Year's Eve, as office parties and festive revellers fill up pubs and nightclubs.
