Supermarket giant Tesco has been given permission to permanently open one of its Norfolk stores for longer.

The company had applied to Broadland District Council to open its supermarket in Norwich Road, Aylsham, from 7am to 11pm on Mondays to Saturdays. Previously it opened between 8am and 10pm.

Permission was granted in 2010 for a 12-month trial. No noise complaints from residents were received during the trial, which has prompted the council to allow the store to permanently extend its opening hours.

Normal Sunday trading hours of 10am to 4pm will remain in operation.
