Carrow Road was the venue for a special celebration for 15 Anglian Home Improvements staff who between them have notched up 580 years of dedicated service

Three employees – Ernest Brown, Philip Brown and Alfred Tanti – were presented with awards for 40 years' service with another 12 employees receiving recognition for 30 years with the company.

The awards were presented by Norwich City striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Anglian ambassador, actress Sally Geeson.

Mr Brown, 63, a window fabricator, who is also on the committee of the Anglian Windows fishing club and is an avid Norwich City fan and season ticket holder, said: 'It means a lot to me to receive this recognition from Anglian Home Improvements. I certainly didn't expect to be here for this long but I've always enjoyed working at Anglian and there's always been plenty of opportunity to try something new as the company and the technology evolves. Anglian has been such a big part of my life that it feels more like a family than an employer.'

Laurence Vaughan, executive chairman at the EDP Top 100 firm, said: 'There are not many businesses in this day and age that can celebrate such dedication from their staff and it is a great honour to be able to celebrate this accomplishment with some of our most loyal employees.'
