It's one of our most iconic buildings and a place any musician would be proud to perform.
And now local performers and artists are being given the chance to fill the rafters of Norwich Cathedral with song in a special Norfolk Day celebration.
Norfolk Day ambassador, The Very Reverend Jane Hedges, Dean of Norwich Cathedral, said they were planning a series of performances in the Cathedral throughout the day and into the evening as part of the day's celebrations.
She said the event would celebrate the 'great variety of skills and talents displayed by the people of this county'.
'If you run a choir or perform as a soloist, if you are member of a drama or dance group, or you write stories or poems, or produce art or craft work we would love to hear from you.'
The event is one of several already planned for the July 27 initiative, which is backed by the EDP and BBC.
Norfolk Day has drawn support from the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William; the Norfolk business community; local residents; community organisations; and celebrities.

Actor Tim Bentinck, who is most widely known for his long-running role as David Archer in the BBC Radio 4 series, The Archers, is the latest to give his backing to the initiative.
Although he lives in London, Mr Bentinck owns a house near Burnham Market on the North Norfolk Coast where he said he spent a lot of time.
He purchased the property 20 years ago and is a regular in the county.
The former UEA student said they had initially been attracted to the area by friends.
'But I've really grown to love Norfolk - there is something truly unique about it.
'It has these big, beautiful skies and there's a lot of movement in the land with woodland, farmland, pastures and coast.
'The North Norfolk Coast is really beautiful and we love spending time there.'

Let's hope the weather plays ball on Norfolk Day
If the weather on July 27 is anything like yesterday, we are in for a stunning Norfolk Day.
The county was at its beautiful best as the sun shone down.
County residents and visitors were out in full force to make the most of the sunshine following the recent battering by the Beast from the East.
Although the day got off to a chilly start with some patches of mist and fog, it soon cleared to leave a dry day with good spells of sunshine.
Highs reached 8C to 11C, a far cry from the recent below freezing temperatures.
Norfolk Day is billed as a day of fun, a day for laughter, a day to show how proud you are to live here, and day in which everyone is encouraged to get involved.
This could be as simple as a family having a picnic in their local park to a restaurant having a Norfolk themed menu to a village street party involving residents and local businesses.

An online shop has been launched selling Norfolk Day marketing material which event organisers can display on the day.
The shop is selling a four-pack of flags, four-pack of A3 posters and 20 balloons at £4, while 5m of bunting is £7.50.
Celebration packs containing all of the above are also available for £15.
Norfolk Day takes place on Friday, July 27 and is intended as a day of fun in which individuals, community groups and businesses are encouraged to get involved by hosting or participating in events.
The initiative was launched by the EDP and Norwich Evening News in partnership with BBC Radio Norfolk and has the backing of business and several community organisations who are planning events for the day.
