Rapid growth has led a commercial services company to appoint a business development director.
Norse Commercial Services, part of EDP/EADT Top 100 member Norse Group, has appointed Chris Smith to the role. He was previously business development manager with the company's subsidiaries in Suffolk and Hampshire, having joined Norse in 2016.
Norse sales director Geoff Tucker said the record growth of the company over the last two years had led to the need for the director-level role. He said: 'Norse has seen rapid growth, particularly in recent years, with operating divisions and our partnerships with local authorities seeing high levels of retained contracts and unprecedented new business gains. Now with 16 council partnerships across the country, the need to direct and co-ordinate a cohesive new business strategy has become vital to achieving our expansion plans.'
