Norfolk ProHelp, a network of businesses which offers pro bono services to charitable and community organisations, hosted its annual breakfast at the Park Farm Hotel in Hethersett on Friday.

Representatives from more than 40 businesses attended the event, which also marked the end of the UK's Pro Bono Week.

Bishop of Norwich the Right Rev Graham James spoke to members about the value of community and identity in the city and across Norfolk, before three ProHelp panel members and community organisations they had helped took to the stage to speak about their mutual experiences.

Among them were Rebecca White, director of community interest company Your Own Place, which had help from Naked Marketing to design a new website and communication platform for young people and current or prospective mentors.

Ms White said: 'There are people looking at the website all over the country because what we are doing in Norfolk is unique, so thank you for helping us to launch a first.'

Julie Grimmer, partner at Larking Gowen, hosted her first event as Norfolk ProHelp chairman after taking over from Tricia Fuller, group HR director at Norse, which sponsors the network.

She said: 'It is a challenging time for the not-for-profit sector and I am proud that the panel members continue to add such value.'
