Owner of Norfolk’s restaurant club gives candid look into hospitality industry

The Wildebeest, The Ingham Swan and the Warwick Street Social are some of Norfolk's greatest independent restaurant success stories.
But co-owner of the restaurant group Greg Adjemian has given Eastern Daily Press readers a candid insight into life in the hospitality industry.
We live and breathe life at Warwick St Social. Sometimes it can be tricky.
We want to ensure that we are doing all we can to deliver a memorable experience to our customers whether they are drinking with us or dining.
Norwich's restaurant scene has been dominated by chain restaurants and from our standpoint as an independent operator we feel we have a responsibility to innovate.

With innovation and a strong desire to continually evolve comes pressure to get things right, to be ahead of the curve but at the same time give our customers what they want.
We never rest on our laurels and we're always looking to reach new customers and provide them with exactly what they need from a great neighbourhood eatery and pub.

There's no doubt that Norwich will prosper from having a diverse restaurant sector where the customer has choice and where operators need to up their game to stay relevant.
The food scene in Norwich has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. It has gained some exciting new food business, and it has lost some too.
The Warwick St Social is a traditional pub venue in a residential location with a strong Golden Triangle locale. Our aim is to offer customers a welcoming and approachable environment wrapped up in a modern-day pub concept. High quality food, comfortable surroundings, restaurant standard service and affordable prices.
At Warwick St Social we have got a solid pedigree in hospitality primarily gained through our two other sites that have seen huge success, The Wildebeest in Stoke Holy Cross and The Ingham Swan.
We've also worked incredibly hard putting our heart and soul into Warwick St Social – we took it on with the intention of developing a new concept – moving away from our proven relaxed fine dining heritage.
We've now put our stake firmly in the ground, responded to customer wants and needs and embraced a new concept bringing together the power of good food, a social environment and a place to drink.
There has been a massive changing pub culture but the fact remains that pubs are reinventing themselves and we've done that too.
Business is great at The Wildebeest.
We have a loyal customer base who love what we do but we aim to elevate that overall customer experience into a Restaurant with Rooms, a concept which has been really popular at The Ingham Swan, allowing diners to eat with us, enjoy a drink too if they wish and then to relax and stay overnight before heading off after a great breakfast.
Our other pub The Ingham Swan suffered a devastating fire last September but we have a great team on board and the re-build is progressing well.
The new roof is now on and will hopefully have the beautiful Norfolk reed thatching installed soon.
We're looking forward to the opportunity to work on creating a fantastic new kitchen and are still optimistic that we will re-open before Christmas 2018.
