Lowestoft-based self-catering specialist Hoseasons has been a supporter of the tourism awards for the past seven years.
The company first became involved in the event when the awards were open to Norfolk-based businesses only, but, having built its business from a base on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, fully backed the move to include both counties.
Property and portfolio director at Hoseasons, Mark Warnes, said the formation of the Norfolk and Suffolk Tourism Awards had taken the event to a new level.
He said: 'We've been sponsoring these awards for the last seven years, and while the standard of entries seems to get better and better every year, this year the quality has been particularly high.
'The extension of the awards to cover Suffolk as well as Norfolk naturally meant we were prepared for a greater variety of entries, but I think everyone involved in the judging process has been pleasantly surprised by the strength on show across each category.'
Mr Warnes said ongoing investment in standards of accommodation and facilities had played its part and helped to make the area as attractive as possible to visitors – particularly those looking to stay overnight and make the most of everything on offer.
'Whether it's the stunning scenery of the Broads, the enduring appeal of some of the best coastline in Britain, or the countless cosy country getaways that holidaymakers can experience – it's clear to see why people want to spend time in this unique part of the world and why it's worth exceeding customer expectations when it comes to keeping them coming back for more.
'Having built our business over the last 70 years from a base on the Norfolk/Suffolk border it's also been great to see the enthusiastic way EDP and EADT readers have embraced this year's awards and shown their support for companies across both counties.
'We have a fantastic tourism offer in Norfolk and Suffolk, so whether our finalists end up winning an award or not, each deserves huge credit for helping to make it such a popular destination for people from all over Britain and beyond.'
