The Benugo Café is the second to open in the department store chain, after the flagship branch in London's Oxford Street.

Head of branch Richard Marks said: 'Shoppers have previously welcomed the introduction of new and exciting places for them to refresh and refuel and we're confident that our customers will enjoy our new Benugo Café.'

The venue replaces the espresso bar, with all staff redeployed elsewhere in the business.

A new John Lewis foreign currency bureau de change will open tomorrow.
