Harleston Young Farmers have raised £2,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the club's chosen charity for the year.
At the annual karaoke night, then vice-chairman John Alexander – who is now the club's chairman – raised £740 by shaving off his beard and all of his hair.
The club topped up its fundraising total with a further £1,260 raised at other Young Farmers events throughout the year, including a charity clay shoot in the nearby village of Mendham and a Christmas tree sale at the clubhouse in Harleston.
Jenny Townsend, eastern area fundraising co-ordinator for the Teenage Cancer Trust visited club members at one of their weekly meetings on Spirketts Lane in Harleston.
The club was told about the work of the charity and where its funds are spent, before a cheque was presented on behalf of the fundraisers.
