Former Norwich City FC sponsor The Galway Roast ceases to trade after running out of funds

A coffee shop which sponsored Norwich City Football Club's South Stand has ceased to trade after running out of funds.
The Galway Roast, which opened in London Street in June, was forced to close its doors after experiencing 'difficult trading conditions'.
The franchise was hoping to build on the success of the brand in Ireland and agreed a deal to sponsor the Canaries' stand, after the 12-year association with Jarrold was ended.
However according to insolvency firm McTear, Williams & Wood, which is managing the insolvency, the business was unable to obtain the necessary investment and was forced to close.
Tony Harrison, associate at McTear Williams & Wood, said: 'The directors had ambitious plans to build the business but in the end were unable to attract the necessary investment and had to call it a day.'

The Galway Roast had issued two sets of shares worth £17,499 in June.
When the company agreed the sponsorship deal with the football club owner Niall Murphy, a lifelong Norwich City fan, described it as 'a very proud moment'.

Only the UK franchise is affected and the business continues to trade in Ireland.
