Former TV Apprentice finalist Claire Young shared tips with Future 50 entrepreneurs at an event in Norwich tonight.

The 34-year-old, who was the runner-up in the hit BBC 1 programme in Series 4, nine years ago, is spending two days in Norfolk today met youngsters at Notre Dame School, in Norwich while today she is visiting students at City College Norwich, and Wayland Academy, to help with CV writing skills and helping youngsters market themselves and realise their potential.

She also works with the Gazelle Group, a national scheme involving City College to develop the entrepreneurial skills of students.

And she said it was vital that pupils did not underestimate the entrepreneurial skills they possess, but stressed that success does not come on a plate.

'I like a CV where I can see people have got part-time jobs - and I am not talking flash jobs, it could be babysitting or washing up,' she added. 'Programmes like the Apprentice and Dragon's Den have made being an entrpreneur quite exciting. But the reality is that you don't just switch on a computer and make £1m.'

As well as sharing business insights, and talking about life on the show, she revealed that she would like to take up a political career after she turns 40.
