The East of England Energy Group will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation in Amsterdam later this month with three other energy organisations.

The MOU with Amsterdam Ymuiden Offshore Ports AYOP, North Sea Energy Gateway Den Helder NSEG and Team Humber Marine Alliance aims to create a closer working relationship between the parties, using joint marketing to promote both formal and informal agreements.

It is hoped that by improved communication more trade, investments and employment will be brought to each region.

The co-operation will be branded under the name Southern North Sea Energy Alliance SNSEA.

The organisations want to promote the southern north sea as the 'energy garden' of Western Europe, serving as a lab for energy integration with the oil and gas industry, as well as carbon capture, tidal energy and hydrogen production.
